Let’s dig in.

Spotlight

The Life of Captain Marvel #1 – Stohl/Pacheo/Sauvage

Captain Marvel is finally getting a true origin story. Best-selling author Margaret Stohl takes the character on a journey to find herself. When an anxiety attack puts her on the sidelines, Carol Danvers is stuck reliving memories she long though buried. Sometimes you can’t outrun where you’re from, and sometimes you have to go home again. Joined by artists Carlos Pacheo and Marguerite Sauvage, Stohl brings Carol back to the forefront.

New 7/15 – 7/21

Tony Stark: Iron Man #2 – Slott/Schiti

Dan Slott and Valerio Schiti bring us more great content. Tony has been holding in a secret since he has came back and there is only one man he trusts with it, James Rhodes. Jocasta has a strange new development, the return of the Gauntlet and the arrival of a new rival for Tony Stark, Sunset Bain. All this and the power of the Manticore, the most powerful assault vehicle in the universe.

Thor #3 – Aaron/Del Mundo

Another wedding issue? But in all seriousness, Jason Aaron and Mike Del Mundo bring us more awesome Thor. As war rages across the land, peace might come from an unlikely place, a wedding. With Hela, goddess of death, as the bride the only question is which Odinson brother will be the groom. And of course, what special guest is going to come and stop the nuptials?

Avengers #5 – Aaron/Medina/Mcguinness

Another Jason Aaron outing, this time he teams up with Paco Medina and Ed Mcguinness to bring us the most awe-inspiring team of Avengers ever. But will it be enough to defeat Loki and the Final Host of Dark Celestials. And what is the starling secret of the Progenitor?
